Daily Programme
Our daily programme is structured to be consistent for the children that need it and flexible for the days when we have to go with the flow.
A typical day might flow like this:
8.30: Children are welcomed in to play, in the classroom.
9.00: Outside play in summer and inside during winter. Children can eat morning tea whenever they are hungry.
11.00: Inside play during summer, outside during winter.
12.00-1.30: Play continues, but children might have lunch when they are hungry or join a group time.
1.30: Puzzles/ rest time/ quiet activities.
1.40: Inside play.
2.20: Pack away/ story time/ dancing/ music.
2.30: Outside time.
3.00: Inside
3.30: Preschool closes.
These times are approximate and can be influenced by many factors- especially children’s focus and interests.
Our Programme is developed from the children’s interests. The educators create wonderous activities and experiences to scaffold the children’s learning. Educators also use the Early Year Learning Framework (EYLF), the official early childhood curriculum in Australia. This framework supports the children in:
Belonging – Knowing where and how they fit in.
Being – Who they want to be right now and enjoying life and relationships.
Becoming – The person they will be as they learn and grow.
