Meet the team

Cathy

(Director & Early Childhood Teacher- Full Time)

I have worked in Early Childhood for over twenty years, both in Australia and in the UK, in a variety of roles. I love working with young children, they are so creative and capable, and it brings me great joy to be part of their lives. St Mark’s offers an inspirational environment for learning, and it gives me such pleasure to be a part of this fantastic team. I am married to Giles and we have a son and a daughter. We love walking our dogs, playing games, and watching movies together.

Nikki

(Educational Leader and Educator- Full Time)

I have been working in the childcare industry for over 20 years and have two children of my own. I enjoy working at St Marks because of all the wonderful staff and family connections. I’m passionate about working in collaboration with families to achieve positive and meaningful learning environments.

Ana

(Educator - Full Time)

I have been working in the Early Childhood industry for over 16 years in Australia and Peru. I’m passionate about building strong relationships with children and their families. I love to share with the children my Peruvian culture and teach them simple words in Spanish during the daily routine in the classroom. I have worked at St Marks since November 2022 and since day one I loved to work with this amazing team. I feel blessed to be part of the St Marks team. I have my son Jethro, we love to spend time exploring the amazing places around Sydney.

Belinda

(Educator - Full Time)

I have been caring for and educating children in-home and educational settings for more than 20 years, including working at St Mark’s since 2016. Sharing my passion for the natural environment and gardening with the children is very important to me as well as encouraging a life-long love of learning and curiosity. St Marks is a wonderful place to share ideas and knowledge with other educators, parents and children.

Claudia

(Early Childhood Teacher - Full Time)

I have been working in the early childhood industry since 2015 and it is amazing to be a teacher and to watch children grow into capable and independent learners. I have a great passion for teaching languages with songs. I speak English, Korean and Mandarin. I love travelling and exploring new places around the world.

Eva

(Early Childhood Teacher - Part Time)

I have been working in early childhood for over 10 years and I am still having so much fun working with preschool children. My favourite part of being an early childhood teacher is witnessing the healthy development of young children, and preparing them to go to school for their next life journey. I love doing lots of messy play including art and sensory play with children, reading fun stories to them and sharing jokes and laughs with them. I enjoy reading and writing, socialising, exercising and exploring new food and new breweries with my husband in Australia and around the world.

Marcela

(Educator - Part Time)

I am from Uruguay and moved to Australia in 2018 to be closer to my sister and young niece. I  recently attained my Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care, and love working at St Mark’s. I am passionate about making a difference in children’s lives by supporting their early growth and development. My favourite things are brunch with friends, travelling, and hiking.

Marielle

(Early ChildhoodTeacher - Full Time)

I really enjoy having fun at preschool with imaginative games, and storytelling. I have twin daughters and enjoy taking time to relax with my family. I have been working in the early childhood industry for over 20 years party of roles -but I really enjoy the close community of St Mark’s.

Mary

(Early Childhood Teacher - Part Time)

I grew up in the UK and moved to Australia with my husband and 2 boys in 2008. Since 2017 I have worked on a casual or contract basis at St Mark’s Preschool. I recognise how significant the early years are in each child’s development and view my role as helping young children flourish into creative, confident and curious learners. As a Christian I also value the opportunities that St Mark’s brings to shape young children’s spiritual lives. When I’m not working I enjoy running/fitness, cooking and reading.

Thea

(Educator - Full Time)

I am a dedicated educator and a mother to three wonderful children aged 8, and twins aged 5. Working with children allows me to relive the joys of my own childhood, and I cherish the opportunity to engage in their world of wonder and discovery. I have a passion for dancing and love embarking on holidays to meet new people and savour diverse cuisines.
I love that St Mark’s Preschool is a warm, caring place for both children and teachers. It’s a joy to be part of a team that nurtures young minds in such a supportive and loving environment.

Zai Zai

(Educator - Full Time)

I have been working at St Mark’s since 2013 and have a daughter called Alice . I love singing, dancing, reading and writing. My home language is Chinese and I enjoy incorporating this into the daily program. I’m very grateful to be teaching young children and sharing the love of God with them.

Barbara

(Operations Manager)

I have been at St Mark’s since 2005, an awfully long time! Initially I was in the classroom, but moved over to working in the office after a few years. Prior to having my own children, who are now adults, I worked in corporate communications and PR for many years.
